Who applies?

People who started their immigration process and received form I-797.

WHEN CAN I SIGN UP FOR OBAMACARE?
You can enroll in Obamacare ALL YEAR, however, the requirements vary depending on the enrollment period. During the Open Enrollment Period that begins November 1 and ends January 15, you can enroll and make any changes to your policy without any restrictions.
On the other hand, the entire rest of the year is considered the Special Enrollment Period where you can enroll or make changes to your policy in the following situations:

You applied for your permanent residence and received form I-797 (Notice of Action).

You received your work permit or Green Card.

You changed residence.

You had changes in the size of your home. (marriage, divorce, had a child, adopted a child or have more financial dependents)
